I am a medicines Information Pharmacist. I have been asked about using Iloprost by nebulisation. I know there is a licensed product for PAH, but the indication they are using it for is ARDS. Do you have any information on whether the injection has ever been used by the nebuliser route? We currently stock the Ilomedine brand, which is unlicensed in the uk. Would this formulation be suitable for nebilisation? (unlicensed use). We have never stocked the licensed nebuliser product, but I have recommended they should be using this if possible.Thank you. |
